Yorktown Police responded to the mall on the report of a physical altercation on Sunday, March 31 around 1:30 p.m.
Further investigation revealed that a male victim had allegedly been punched and kicked by a group of three suspects, one of whom was determined to be a 13-year-old male from Dobbs Ferry, police say.
The teen, whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for youthful offender status, voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters with a parent on Monday, April 15. He was charged with third-degree attempted assault.
The juvenile was ticketed and released to his parent. He is scheduled to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on Tuesday, April 30.
